I’m going to get a little deep with you today. I’m going to ask you a serious question, that you need to answer in your own mind. I don’t want the answer….you NEED the answer.
What if you went to the doctor, and he diagnosed you with a terminal illness? What if he told you that in 6 months time, you would be laid to rest for good. Put yourself in that state of mind for a minute………
Look at your life until this point in time. Think about all the dreams and aspirations you planned for. Think about all the things you wanted to accomplish. Think about all the dreams you had as a child, a teenager, even as an adult.
Do you have any regrets? Did you fulfill those dreams? Did you accomplish those goals? Are you happy with the way you lived your life until this very moment in time?
If the answer is yes, I commend you. If the answer is no, I want to ask you why.
Why did you not fulfill your dreams? Why didn’t you enjoy your life and do the things you wanted to do? Why are you not happy with the way you lived your life until this very moment? Why?
Did you take action to make those dreams come true? Did you take any risks and chances that made you afraid, but ultimately can bring you what you want? What would you do different?
You see, if God forbid, you were diagnosed with a horrible illness, you wouldn’t care anymore. You would take any risk and any chance because you knew you wouldn’t be around soon anyway. What you don’t realize is that you’re living a dying life regardless. Whether you’re going to leave this planet in 6 months or 60 years should not determine what you can or cannot do.
If you choose to live your life for the next 60 years as if you were dying in 6 months, would you have any regrets?
