Having a plan and a strict schedule is very important to achieve the results that most are looking for. I wanted to share with you exactly what a day looks like in terms of time management and marketing implementation. Time is precious, and most of your time needs to be spent on income producing activities.

Every Sunday, we plan out our schedule for the week on an excel spreadsheet, with detailed tasks that need to get done. We have recently implemented the 50/10 rule (50 minutes work, 10 minute break) to get the most out of our DMO (daily method of operation). I have a countdown timer on my desk, so i can stick to this schedule.

This is how an average Monday looks like for me:

7:00am – 8:00am – 1 hour workout at the gym while listening to some quality personal development audio

8:00am – 9:00am – 1 hour for breakfast with the family, shower and get dressed.

9:00am – 9:30am – 30 minutes personal development (reading)

9:30am – 9:50am – social media (facebook, twitter, linked in)

9:50am – 10:00am – break

10:00am – 10:30am – social media (facebook, twitter, linked in)

10:30am – 10:50am – wake up call (our company has a leadership call every morning)

10:50am – 11:00am – break

11:00am – 11:50am – blog post and drive traffic to my new post

11:50am – 12:00pm – break

12:00pm – 12:50pm – build out pay per click campaigns

12:50pm – 1:00pm – lunch/break

1:00pm – 1:50pm – build out pay per click campaigns

1:50pm – 2:00pm – break

This is a very serious schedule, and will bring serious results. Obviously things come up that alter the schedule somewhat, but I try to stick to this schedule as much as possible. At the end of the week, I look back and reflect on what I got accomplished and what I lacked on. There is always room for improvement.

Try implementing something like this every week, whether you are full time or part time. I guarantee you will see dramatic results in your business and increase your productivity by 50%. Leaders have a plan, and execute that plan. You must make this a ritual. It must become a habit. Organizing your days and weeks are crucial to your success in any business.

I had the pleasure of listening to Andy Andrews live at our m2 wealth conference in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. Now I know why he is regarded as one of the most influential men in America. His story is very inspirational, and proves that anyone, no matter what circumstance, can become wealthy and live the life of their dreams. This man was actually homeless at one time, and now is a NY Times Best Selling Author. He has some fantastic books, including “The Butterfly Effect”, “The Noticer”, and “The Travelers Gift”.

He spoke for an hour at our event. His speech on the Butterfly Effect is what intrigued me the most. You might think your life doesn’t matter, but yet, one action taken may change the lives of millions and/or billions of people. Everything you do matters. The decisions you make and the way you treat others have more impact than you may ever realize.

Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of LinkedIn. Although it may seem a little prehistoric in it’s layout and forms of communication at times, it is still a great resource of networking and in developing business to business relationships. The average household income of LinkedIn users is $145,000.00. That is a great statistic, and those numbers indicate that LinkedIn users are relatively ambitious people. This is the perfect audience for prospecting, right?

That’s why I was very excited when I heard LinkedIn was a launching their new Pay Per Click program, DirectAds. I thought that with this new program, I would get the most targeted leads than any of my other paid marketing efforts.

I was shocked to see that the minimum CPC (Cost Per Click) was $2.00, and the suggested bid was $4.00 – $6.00 per click! That is a ridiculously high number for a PPC program, no matter how targeted the leads are. I decided to invest $500 into a campaign, and used the minimum bid of $2.00 to start. My target CPL (cost per lead) is anywhere from $5-$8 per lead, so i was willing to give it a shot.

I ran a few campaigns, and ended up paying $11.50 per lead, which is way too much. I also ran multiple ads and split tested them. I came to a realization that no matter how well my ads were converting and how targeted the leads were, they were just too damn expensive. I can’t imagine anyone using DirectAds to generate leads for a network marketing business. It’s unfortunate, because it would be a perfect match for entrepreneurs looking for quality leads and prospects.

What is the meaning of relentless? A person is relentless if they never relent, i.e. never give up or show mercy.

The adjective RELENTLESS has 2 senses:

1. not to be placated or appeased or moved by entreaty

2. never-ceasing

Question: What does Relentless mean?

Answer: Relentless is showing or promising no abatement of severity, intensity, strength, or pace.

How relentless are you in growing your business? Do you fit in with these definitions of relentless? If you don’t, it’s time you got relentless.

Mr. Wayne Allen Root, Vice Presidential Candidate for 2012, spoke about being relentless at our m2 conference in Las Vegas 2 weeks ago. He is a relentless, wealthy man, and built his empire from the ground up.

He spoke for an hour about his relentless journey to get where he is today. It was a very inspirational presentation. This man has accomplished everything he has aimed for in life. There were many road blocks and obstacles he faced on his way to millions, but his relentless pursuit never let anything stop him from achieving his goals.

He is also a best selling author. I would advise anyone to read his story.

Relentlessness turns into leadership. People need to be lead. People want to be lead. But you must lead by example. You must lead by being relentless.

My entire life, I viewed myself as a leader. I always did what I wanted, and people followed. I owned some very successful businesses, and had many employees that I lead to success. It wasn’t until I found the network marketing industry that I realized that in order to be a true leader and create wealth, you must first be a follower. Let me explain….

Every leader follows other leaders. Every leader has a mentor. Even the most successful business men and women have mentors and leaders that they look up to, whether it be by reading their books or attending some kind if seminar or personal development conference.

At our live conference in Vegas 2 weeks ago, the awesome Jeffrey Combs spoke about his mentor, Jim Rohn. Jeff makes millions of dollars through his mastermind program, and gets paid very well to speak at live events. He said he attends every Jim Rohn seminar he possibly can, because you must constantly continue to develop yourself.

It’s actually a simple concept. If millionaires have mentors, then you must have mentors to become a millionaire.

Remember, leaders are developed, not born.

Last week we attended our wealth conference and marketing events in Las Vegas, and they were nothing short of amazing. We won 2 awards, and networked with some of the most successful people in the world.

Not only did we learn what 99% of the world doesn’t know about the current state of our economy, but we also learned exactly what to do to create wealth RIGHT now.

Many people don’t realize is that the opportunity to make money is always at it’s peak when things are bad. You just need the right information from the right people, not the wrong people.

Look around you now. Look at who you surround yourself with. Statistics say that your income will be the average of your 10 closest friends.  Are your 10 closest friends making at least 200k plus yearly? If not, you need to make some decisions right now.

In no means am I telling you to get rid of your friends, as I would never do that. But maybe you should allocate your time a little wiser. Did you ever hear the saying, “Your net worth will be dictated by your network”? That statement holds true now more than ever in these uncertain times. Your network of people that you associate with will directly determine your income.

Roughly 3 months ago, Google made some significant changes to their Pay Per Click marketing platform, Google Adwords. These changes literally turned the network marketing and affiliate marketing world upside down.

Google decided they no longer wanted any duplicate offers on the advertising network. No more affiliate marketing. No more replicated websites. They want everyone who wishes to advertise on Adwords to have their own, unique offer, with unique content and unique products.

Google literally shut down thousands of accounts in a matter of weeks. Some of these marketers were making thousands a day, and had their businesses completely shut down in a blink of an eye. Why? Because Google makes the rules and we must abide by them.

Many marketers turned to Yahoo PPC’s platform, Yahoo Search Marketing, and Bing’s PPC platform, Microsoft Adcenter, to generate leads and sell affiliate products.  But what marketers are finding out is, the quality of those leads just aren’t as good, and the traffic is significantly less, in the range of 70%.  Most searchers use Google, period. Many searchers that use Yahoo are a little older and less computer savvy than Google’s searchers. And although Bing is MSN’s completely revamped search engine, it only receives 10% of the traffic Google gets.

So what are marketers to do? There are many other PPC programs on the web, but again, low traffic and low quality will kill you.

Sacrifice might be one of the hardest obstacles to overcome for new online entrepreneurs, trying to figure out the path to success. Before embarking on your new journey to internet riches, you must first understand the sacrifices you need to make to get there.

How hard are you willing to work to get there? How many hours are you willing to put in? How disciplined and committed are you to change your current financial situation? How far are you willing to go?

One of the major causes of poverty is a failure to understand that a sacrifice must precede wealth. There is a sowing before a reaping. There is an accumulation phase before a spending phase. The more sacrifice you make in saving and investing, the wealthier you will eventually become.

So what are you willing to sacrifice?

Are you willing to turn off the TV and CNN (Constantly Negative News) and infuse your brain with quality reading material and positive audio to develop your mind to that of a successful entrepreneur? Are you willing to sacrifice your favorite weekly shows that you love so dearly? How about not watching the baseball game every night? How about putting in weekend hours rather than laying on the couch doing nothing? Everybody loves their free time, but if you want to be wealthy, you have to earn your free time. You need to take the time that you devote to these meaningless habits and devote this time to activities that will progress your path to wealth. Donald Trump once said, “You’re not truly wealthy until you earn money while you sleep”. Well Mr. Trump, the internet gives us all the opportunity to earn while we sleep.

You see, most people that have never achieved success have lived paycheck to paycheck, therefore have no money to start a business. That’s where the toughest sacrifices arise;

Are you willing to sell possessions to gain capital needed to market your new business? Are you willing to get uncomfortable and ask people to borrow money if you have to? Are you willing to exhaust each and every option to get your hands on cash for your new business? Just how uncomfortable are you willing to get?

I’m going to get a little deep with you today. I’m going to ask you a serious question, that you need to answer in your own mind. I don’t want the answer….you NEED the answer.

What if you went to the doctor, and he diagnosed you with a terminal illness? What if he told you that in 6 months time, you would be laid to rest for good. Put yourself in that state of mind for a minute………

Look at your life until this point in time. Think about all the dreams and aspirations you planned for. Think about all the things you wanted to accomplish. Think about all the dreams you had as a child, a teenager, even as an adult.

Do you have any regrets? Did you fulfill those dreams? Did you accomplish those goals? Are you happy with the way you lived your life until this very moment in time?

If the answer is yes, I commend you. If the answer is no, I want to ask you why.

Why did you not fulfill your dreams? Why didn’t you enjoy your life and do the things you wanted to do? Why are you not happy with the way you lived your life until this very moment? Why?

Did you take action to make those dreams come true? Did you take any risks and chances that made you afraid, but ultimately can bring you what you want? What would you do different?

You see, if God forbid, you were diagnosed with a horrible illness, you wouldn’t care anymore. You would take any risk and any chance because you knew you wouldn’t be around soon anyway. What you don’t realize is that you’re living a dying life regardless. Whether you’re going to leave this planet in 6 months or 60 years should not determine what you can or cannot do.

If you choose to live your life for the next 60 years as if you were dying in 6 months, would you have any regrets?

What is logical thinking? Where has logical thinking brought you thus far?

Logical thinking tells us to go to college….Get a degree….Get a job….Don’t spend too much on this…..Save, Save, Save….You can’t afford that….. Give money to your financial advisor….Don’t take risks….Retire at the age of 62 and collect Social Security…..

You see, logical thinking is not your fault. We were programmed to think logically. From the day we were born, 97% of us were taught and raised that this was the way life works. And that is a true statement. This is the way life works for 97% of people in the world.

Do you know who the other 3% are? The wealthy. That’s right, the millionaires in our society do NOT think logically. If they thought logically, they wouldn’t be wealthy. Do you think Donald Trump thinks logically? Do you think Mr. Trump didn’t take huge risks on his path to success? Perhaps Richard Branson thought logically when he spent every last dollar with Virgin records, only to discover Boy George, and become a Forbes list regular? You want proof? Go purchase his autobiography. In fact, if you read many autobiographies of wealthy entrepreneurs, like Trump and Branson, you will find that they do NOT think logically.

Logical thinking is the reason why 97% of people’s financial situations are what they are right now.

It’s time to think illogically. It’s time to think like an entrepreneur. It’s time to act like an entrepreneur. It’s time to surround yourself with entrepreneurs. It’s time to take risks. You are taking a much bigger risk by simply doing the same thing you’ve been doing your entire life, thinking logically.  You are risking all the enjoyment life can bring you.

Simply ask yourself if you are 100% happy with your job, the way you spend your time, the amount of time you spend with your family, and how often do you simply get to do the things you want to do?  If you can’t honestly say that you are happy with all those aspects of life, get out of your comfort zone, stop thinking logically, and take a risk.

Its pretty easy to give up on your home business, especially when your not seeing any results from the time (or lack of time) you’ve put in. Sometimes you need a little spike of inspiration to get you motivated. This video will make most people cry, and will touch your soul. What you are trying to accomplish is 100 times easier compared to what this man has accomplished his whole life. The path to success is only as hard as you make it. People like this brave man make you realize this.

I am in the middle of reading a great book called, “The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind”, by Dr. Joseph Murphy. This dynamic bestseller gives you the tools to improve your relationships, your finances, and your physical well being. Once you learn how to use this force, there is nothing you will not be able to accomplish. This book came highly recommended from the co-founder of my company, a 7 figure earner in our industry. I strongly urge you to pick up a copy, as reading great material like this one can completely change your life.

In a previous blog post, I wrote about the book, “The Slight Edge”, which defines slight changes you need to implement every day that lead to big changes in your life. Most Guru’s in network marketing are very systematic, and have clearly defined rituals, done every day. You want to be a leader? Than do what leaders do. Read 10 pages of a quality book, every day. Listen to 20-30 minutes of good audio, everyday.

One new ritual I have added to my DMO (daily method of operation) is watching one video of a Guru I like, every day, less than 10 minutes, every morning, usually while I’m having my coffee. I am currently watching videos of Jeff Combs, world renowned leader in our industry. Watching one video every day, assuming the average video is 6 minutes, will accumulate to 36 hours a year of great mentorship videos. Just like 10 pages a night will accumulate to 12-15 quality books a year. Just like 30 minutes of audio every day will accumulate to 182 hours of great audio a year. Do you think doing this will have an impact on your business? Damn right it will.

In this video, Jeff Combs talks about creating abundance by using your power (spirit), not force (ego). Get out of your analytical mind and get into the flow of your energy. It is the power of presence and living in the now. It is our neurological networks that bring out our fear and anxiety and block the ease and flow of attaining our goals and desires. This relates to the law of attraction. We can be empowered in a disempowered world. Enjoy!

I love the movie “Rudy”. I love movies that are based on true stories, especially movies about underdogs and over achievers. It makes you feel good inside, and gives you the belief that anyone can accomplish anything they want, as long as they have the will and determination to get there. In case you forgot the classic ending of the movie, here it is, and you WILL get the chills again if you have seen the entire movie before….

After I watched this awesome clip again, I did some research on the real Rudy Ruettiger. I wanted to feel the determination he had, and what he did to get to where he is today. I found some awesome facts about this amazing guy. This guy’s dream was to play football at Notre Dame, no matter how undersized or broke he was. The movie is actually pretty accurate to his real life events. He struggled through dyslexia (which I don’t believe the movie depicted), but still managed to graduate from Holy Cross (junior college). He barely got accepted into Notre Dame and made the scout team. Because he was so broke, he lived in a room in the basketball arena. After getting beat up all year on the scout team, Coach Dan Devine dressed Rudy for his last game, and what you saw in the movie is exactly what happened. He sacked Georgia Tech’s QB, and he remains, the only player to ever be carried off the field at Notre Dame stadium.

Where is he today? Upon graduating from Notre Dame, Rudy spent one year as a grad assistant and then went on to work in the insurance industry. Today, Rudy works primarily as a motivational speaker, often appearing to speak in front of large corporations. He has also co-authored several motivational books. According to the Premiere Speakers Bureau, Rudy’s keynote fee is roughly $17,500. It could vary based upon length of presentation, location of event and other factors. Usually, travel and expenses are additional costs above speaker fees. Rudy’s topics include athletes, inspiration, motivation, and overcoming adversity.

Personal development is one of the most important keys to your success as a home based business professional. In order to grow your business, you need to also grow your mind.

Most people think that personal growth, or self mastery, comes from attending seminars, motivational conferences, and purchasing expensive kits or cd sets.

While going to events, hosted by the likes of Tony Robbins, Frank Kern, Jeffrey Combs, etc, can be life changing, it all starts with small little changes in your life, not big changes.

It starts with reading 10 pages of a great book, every day. It starts with listening to 30 minutes of good audio, every day. It starts with working out for 30 minutes every day, and feeling good about yourself. You can buy used books from Amazon for less than 10 dollars. You can download free podcasts and audio on the internet, just Google it. You can work out anywhere, anytime, without going to a gym, without costing you any money.

I recently read a tremendous book, called the “The Slight Edge”, by Jeff Olson. A six figure monthly earner in my company recommended it to me. I highly suggest anyone looking to grow as a person pick up a copy. The book details slight significant changes in your daily routine to improve yourself as a person and as an entrepreneur.

Do not dismiss the power of self mastery. If you think that any top earner in the network marketing/internet marketing industry does not read great material, or listen to other successful leaders, you are wrong. There is only so much you will accomplish without it. Doing these things on a daily basis and getting into a daily ritual will completely change you as a person. Do as other leaders do, and you will achieve results as other leaders do.

Lead generation is the single most important part of growing a home based business. But once you establish a consistent daily lead flow, you need to work on your conversion rate. It’s great to get 50 or 100 leads a day, but converting those leads into sales and/or members is the reason why you generate leads in the first place.

There is a very simple way to increase your conversions by 3-5% by taking the time to add this to your DMO (daily method of operation). I can’t take credit for this, as someone else in my company suggested I do this on a daily basis.

I normally generate 50-100 leads a day. My system does the sifting and sorting for me. Many of my leads don’t have phone numbers, so they all get emails from my autoresponder once they opt in. I don’t call my leads anyway, unless one of them leaves me a voice mail and I determine they are worth my time to speak to and sounds like someone I am willing to spend a few minutes talking to.

Unfortunately, after people opt in, many don’t even read the first email they receive from my autoresponder. Many people are inundated with emails, and some don’t even realize where the emails are coming from. So every day, I take the email addresses from all the leads that opted in from the previous day, and put that email address in the Facebook search bar. If a name pulls up, add them as a friend.

From what I have seen so far, roughly 30% of the emails are associated with your lead’s Facebook account. It is crucial to do this EVERY DAY, because your name is still fresh in your prospect’s mind. They will be more likely to read your autoresponders if they know who it’s coming from, and it gives your prospect social proof that you are a REAL person, offering a REAL opportunity. They will also have access to your blog through your FB account, thus beginning the relationship building that is required in our great industry. People join people. By adding your prospects as friends from the very beginning will guarantee you increased conversions, I promise…..

I wrote an article posted here a few days ago about owning your name in Google, which is very important if you are to make a name for yourself in the internet marketing/network marketing industry. My goal is dominate the first 4 or 5 pages of my name on Google. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t. This is my name and it only validates leadership in this industry. If you truly understand the rules of attraction marketing, then you know how important this is.

So the other day, I Google my name, I came across a blog/website on the second and sometimes even first page, of a post, where some guy (he goes by Cajun Boy) blatantly attacking Justin and I. “Cajun Boy” goes on to say:

“There are two guys from Jersey named Anthony and Justin who have failed miserably at most of the things they’ve done professionally.”

Obviously he doesn’t know anything about us, because if he did, he would know that we ran a very successful business the past 7 years. He goes on to use profanity in the post as well.

On top of that, there were 2 advertisements on the right side of Google (sponsored links) that look like this:

We called our mentor, as we were rightfully upset at the whole situation. After all, we were working so hard to “own OUR names”, and here are 3 different people, using OUR names to draw traffic to their sites. We told him what had happened, and he said, “Wow fellas, that’s great!”. I asked him “How is that great? We have some loser bashing us and 2 other guys using our names as keywords!”

He stated, “Your are really making a big name for yourselves in this industry guys! People are writing about YOU. People are using your names as keywords! That means your names draw traffic! This kind of stuff only legitimizes you as being leaders in this industry. Keep up the good work”.

Most people need to have a result before they can commit to something 100% in order to develop a certain belief.   How can they create a result when they do not have a belief?   If they do not believe how can they take action?    What typically happens is that most people will get involved with a business or business opportunity and work at it just to see if it will give them a level of certainty.  Proof to suggest what they are doing is correct.  When someone approaches an opportunity with uncertainty, how can they possibly take the necessary action in order to get results?  If they do not see the expected result in a particular opportunity they confirm that their initial fear was correct.  This action creates a downward spiral.   The truth is that the misinformed will wait their whole lives for an opportunity, or product or something that just happens to them or comes to them that will give them a result in order to have that believe.   The only thing that we should be afraid of is not following through.
